Cloud Strife (Top)

At the age of 13, Cloud left his hometown of Nibelheim to join Shinra, Inc. in hope of becoming a hero within the current Great War between Shinra and Wutai. This was inspired by a war hero within Shinra known as Sephiroth, whom Cloud had read about in the Shinra Times. However, by the time Cloud achieved his goal of becoming part of SOLDIER first class, the war had already ended. Eventually, Cloud left Shinra and became a paid mercenary, taking on any job as long as it was for the right price. After taking a job with a small resistance group known as AVALANCHE, Cloud finds himself fighting for the planet, and the world he thought he knew is now changing into something he had never dreamed of...

 

Aerith Gainsborough (Top)

Aeris is the sole survivor of the Ancients, a mysterious group which little is know about. Because she is the last remaining Ancient, the Shinra desperately want to capture Aerith for experimentation, but have been unable to do so for quite some time. Aerith’s birth mother died when she was still at a young age, and she is now cared and looked after by her adoptive mother in Midgar. Aerith looks after the one church of Midgar, the place in which Aerith grows her beautiful flowers. She met Cloud after his mission with AVALANCHE and unintentionally gets involved with the rebel group.

 

Barret Wallace(Top)

Occupation: Leader of AVALANCHE
Weapon: Gun Arm
Leader of the rebel organization knows as AVALANCHE, Barrett is a huge man and someone to be reckoned with. Barrett is determined in stopping the ways of the evil Shinra and will stop at nothing to do so. Despite his seemingly rough, strong attitude, Barrett has a heart of gold and would do anything to help those in need. His hometown of Coral was burnt down by Shinra and his wife killed, which led to his immense hatred towards Shinra, and the reason behind him setting up the rebel group known as AVALANCHE. Barrett currently lives in Midgar with his beloved daughter Marlene, and is constantly thinking up plans on as to how he may be able to stop Shinra, Inc.

 

Tifa Lockheart (Top)

Height: 167 cm

Occupation: Bartender
Weapon: Gloves
Tifa always tries to cheer up the group when they’re feeling down, but don’t let her good looks and kind heart fool you, as she can use her mastery of Martial Arts to take down any enemy or foe if necessary. Tifa is one of the main members of AVALANCHE but when not aiding the rebel group, she runs a bar in the sector 7 slums known as Seventh Heaven. Tifa is childhood friends with Cloud and is reunited with him after his successful mission with AVALANCHE. Although she will never admit it, she has strong feeling towards Cloud and knows more about his past then even he does...

 

Red XIII (Nanaki) (Top)

Occupation: Lab Animal
Weapon: Head dress
Red XIII was a lab experiment for the Shinra scientist known as Hojo. He was used for experimentation due to the simple fact that he is the last of his amazing race; a race that has unbelievable intellect and a race that lives for hundreds and hundreds of years, as 48 of our years is in fact a mere 16 in there’s. Red XIII joins the group in hope that they will visit his hometown of Cosmo Canyon, where he hopes to be reunited with his beloved Grandfather. However, Red XIII wishes to leave the group once he achieves that goal, but may the events you encounter when you reach Cosmo Canyon persuade him to do otherwise?

 

Cait Sith (Top)

Occupation: Fortune Teller/Toysaurus
Weapon: Megaphone
Cait Sith is currently a fortune teller working at the Gold Saucer, and peculiar as it may seem, he knows quite a lot about Shinra, but how? He rides around on his stuffed moogle, which he magically brought to life; he gives orders to his moogle by shouting them from his Megaphones, which increases the power of the moogle dependent on how powerful the Megaphone in question is. Very little is known about Cait Sith, and the reason behind him wanting to join the group is unknown.

 

Cid Highwind (Top)

Date of Birth: February 22
Height: 178 cm
Blood Type: B
Occupation: Pilot
Weapon: Spear
Cid Highwind was a former pilot for the Shinra and was scheduled to be the first man in space due to the Shinra space programme. However, his dream was crushed due to an engine worker named Shera, whom was a close friend of Cid’s, being too cautious. This resulted in Cid’s relationship with Shera being ruined, but despite his attitude towards her, he still and always will have strong feelings towards Shera. Cid can control pretty much any machine on the planet, as you will soon see after he journeys with you. He is currently the mayor of rocket town, and can always be found working on Shinra 26 with a cigarette in his mouth.

 

Vincent Valentine (Top)

Occupation: None (Former Turk)
Weapon: Gun
Vincent is a mysterious man; cool, dark and stern. Although he may look somewhat evil and seem somewhat heartless, beneath that dark exterior is a pure heart. He was previously a Turk of Shinra, but due to certain events, he quit. His hatred towards the Shinra scientist Hojo is what led him join the team, but what caused this hatred? Inside his body lurks a fearsome power, which when awakened can cause devastating effects. However, this fearsome power and his metallic claw were both forced upon him due to experimentation. What is the real story behind Vincent? How did all this happen to him? What else is unknown of him? Maybe you will find out in your journey...

 

Yuffie Kisiragi (Top)

Yuffie is a descendant of a great ninja clan in Wutai, but left her hometown due to her thinking she could do better outside of it then in. She spent her time preying on helpless travellers, hoping to steal money and Materia. However, after failing to do so with Cloud and the gang, she reluctantly forces herself upon the group in order to obtain what she is looking for. She’s sneaky, sly and arrogant, but with her brilliant stealing abilities, ninja skills and powerful weapons, she’s a great asset to the team.

 

Sephiroth (Top)

Occupation: None, former Shinra General
Weapon: Masamune
Sephirtoh is the man who inspired Cloud’s dream of becoming a hero within the Great War. He is a legend amongst Shinra, a hero within wars and deadly inside battle. His powerful, destructive sword, Masamune, is one of a kind and only Sephiroth is able to wield it. Despite Sephiroth’s successful career with Shinra, he leaves for reasons to do with his past. It was published in the Shinra Times that Sephiroth was dead, but the true meaning behind Sephiroth’s disappearance is locked away in Cloud’s mind. However, it is soon realised that Sephiroth has returned, but what has he returned for?

 

President Shinra (Top)

Occupation: President of Shinra Inc.
Weapon: None
President Shinra is the corrupt founder of the powerful Shinra Corporation. All he cares about is money and making profit from his actions; if human life is in the way of achieving his goal, then he would gladly take it without a second thought. He currently resides in the headquarters of Shinra, being Midgar, where he plots his devious plans with the rest of the Shinra team.

 

Rufus Shinra (Top)
Age: Mid-twenties

Occupation: Vice President of Shinra Inc.
Weapon: Shotgun
The Vice President of Shinra and son of the current owner. He is very different to his father, and when he takes over the company through horrifying means, he runs Shinra with different motives to that of his father. He is a very determined leader with intelligence and bravery and is seen by many as a better President of Shinra, Inc. then his late father.

 

Palmer (Top)

Occupation: Head of Shinra Space Development Division
Weapon: Ray Gun
Palmer, or “Fat man Palmer” as Cid puts it, is the head of Shinra’s space development division, meaning he was in charge of the Space Programme which Cid was involved within. Not much is seen or known of Palmer, but you will find out that he is a careless and carefree individual, whom you will constantly find running away where danger lurks.

 

Scarlet (Top)
Age: Early-twenties

Height: Unknown
Blood Type: Unknown
Occupation: Head of Shinra’s Weapons Development Division
Weapon: None
Scarlet is the head of Shinra’s weapons development division; her beauty hides the knowledge of the world’s most destructive weapons. She is the reason behind Barrett’s only having one hand, and is extremely skilled in weaponry. Her devious, selfish and arrogant attitude is what leads her to be one of the deadliest members of Shinra, Inc.

 

Heidegger (Top)
Age: Mid-thirties

Occupation: Head of Shinra’s Public Maintenance and Order Division
Weapon: None
Heidegger is the head of Shirna’s public maintenance and order division and is in charge of Shinra’s two best trained and lethal groups: SOLDIER and The Turks. He stands out to the rest of the Shinra employees due to his unbelievably annoying laugh, and is known to become extremely violent if things don’t go the way he wants them to.

 

Hojo (Top)

Occupation: Head of Shinra’s Public Maintenance and Order Division
Weapon: None
Hojo is a gloomy, mad scientist who continuously conducts unusual experiments. He is the head of Shinra’s chemistry division, and thus would be behind the experimentation of both Red XIII and Aerith, if he were to have the chance to do so. Hojo is the prime reason behind Vincent’s joining the group, but the reason behind the great conflict of the two is currently unknown. Although Hojo appears to be a minor role within the game at first, he in fact plays one of the key roles of Final Fantasy VII and will link up many mysteries of the game.

 

Reeve (Top)

Very little is seen or heard of Reeve, and the only information obtainable is he constructed the city of Midgar through the orders of President Shinra. However, it is later revealed that Reeve’s has a bigger role in Final Fantasy VII then what first appears.

 

Tseng (Turk) (Top)

Blood Type: Unknown
Occupation: Head of the Turks
Weapon: None
Tseng was childhood friends with Aerith, growing up with her ever since she started to live with her adoptive mother in Midgar. However, this friendship was soon broken as soon as Tseng became leader of The Turks, as Tseng is and always will be loyal to his work. Cool and collected, Tseng ensures The Turks team completes every task to perfection, which earned him the position of being their leader. He has feelings towards the only female member of The Turks; Elena, but chooses to keep them secret until his current objectives are complete.

 

Reno (Turk) (Top)
Age: Mid-twenties

Height: Unknown
Blood Type: Unknown
Occupation: Member of the Turks
Weapon: Nightstick
The first Turk that the team encounters within a battle, and one of the prime members of the Turks. He is very loyal to his work, and respects and cares for each of his colleagues. However, Reno is unpredictable and at times can become hotheaded, but that doesn’t stop him from being a fierce opponent.

 

Rude (Turk) (Top)

Occupation: Member of the Turks
Weapon: Fists
One of the prime members of The Turks, Rude is a cool, laid back and calm individual who answers with his fists. He doesn’t talk much, but actions speak louder then words. Rude seems to be able to bring any situation under control, but he tends to be easily influenced by alcohol. Just like every member of The Turks, Rude looks out and respects each of his colleagues, but would rather put them before his work.

 

Elena (Turk) (Top)
Age: Early-twenties

Height: Unknown
Blood Type: Unknown
Occupation: Member of the Turks
Weapon: Fists
Elena is the newest member of The Turks, and was only able to join due to Reno having to take time off to recover from injuries. Although she may look helpless, she is in fact an extremely strong opponent, both mentally and physically. She is very loyal to The Turks, and unlike Reno and Rude would put it before anything, even if they were to be off–duty. She has strong feelings towards Tseng but keeps them hidden due to her wanting to be a top member of Shinra, and she feels that emotional bonds could threaten that.
