Millennial Fair – Final Fantasy VII Guides & Quests

Chocobo Breeding Quest:
Before you start, it helps a great deal if you have the W–Item Materia, which can be found from the
raid on Midgar. When you go down the sewer, keep going south instead of north until you reach the
Materia. This is not vital, but it will save you time in doing the Chocobo Sidequest.
You don’t have to do the Chocobo side quest, but by doing so you are able to obtain amongst
the best things in Final Fantasy VII, including the most powerful summon Materia: Knights of the Round
table!
Firstly, collect 3 carob nuts. You can get these nuts from a Red Dragon, which can be found outside
of the Chocobo Sage’s house on the green grass (the Chocobo sage’s house is located within
the northern continent). Fight them and steal carob nuts until you have collected 3 (you may also
obtain one from the spoils of a battle with the Red Dragons).
Now, buy 6 stables from the Chocobo farm (If you’re running low on gil, sell a mastered All
Materia to get more then what you need). Next, go to the Mideel area and catch a great Chocobo (Choco
Billy tells you what they are) and then go to the Gold Saucer area and catch a good Chocobo of the
opposite sex, mate them with the Carob Nut and you will breed a green or blue Chocobo (most likely a
green).
Now you have to mate them again, but it will take exactly one hour
for them to be able to mate again. This is where “W–Item”
Matera trick comes in. Firstly, buy some Sylkis greens from the
Chococo Sage. To do the trick, select the greens as your first item
on “W–Item” within any battle, then select
it again but instead of pressing O to confirm, press X to cancel
and your number of greens will increase by 1! Do this until you
have 99 and feed the coloured Chocobo 90 of them, which will max
out his/her stats. (If you didn’t get the “W–Item”
Materia, you’ll have to buy the Sylkis Greens, but 90 for
each Chocobo is not a must) Now, race him/her until he/she is class
A. Save your game, and then mate the great and the good Chocobo’s
again. If you don’t get a different coloured one of the opposite
sex, simply restart your game and try again.
Now, do the same with this Chocobo as you did with the other, and when he’s/she’s class A,
save your game again, and then mate the Green and Blue Chocobo’s (they may be too young. If
that’s the case, you will have to wait another hour) they should breed a black Chocobo, if not,
restart your game and mate them again.
Now, go east to Goblin Island and battle there until you obtain a single a Zeio Nut. Once done, go
to the northern continent and go to the tracks near the Icicle Inn. Catch a wonderful Chocobo of the
opposite sex to the black Chocobo, and do the same with these two as you did with the green and blue
(Feed them 90 Sylkis Greens each, and race them to Class A)
When they’re both Class A, mate them with the Zeio nut and you should have yourself the ever–famous
Gold Chocobo!

Vicent Valentine Quest
You get Vincent Valentine from the Shinra mansion in Nibelheim. Proceed into the mansion and go up the stairs and to the left. Go into the room in front of you, and you will find a safe. Enter this code:
Right to 36
Left to 10
Right to 59
Right to 97
Enter this and you will be engaged in a boss fight:
Lost number: Level: 35 HP: 7000 MP: 300
After winning, you get the Odin summon Materia, Red XIII’s level 4–limit manual and if you check the safe again, you get the basement key. Now, head to the basement and walk as though you were going to the library. Just before you get to the library, you’ll see a wooden door that you couldn’t enter before. You can now go in as you have the basement key. Once inside, open the purple coffin. A mysterious man awakens, and when he talks to you, talk about Sephiroth and he will say he’s not in the mood and go back to sleep. Open it once again and say the following:
“Who are you?”
You will then name him and he will go back to sleep. Go outside and Vincent will come out and ask about Hojo. After your discussion, he then joins your posse.

Yuffie Kisiragi Quest
You can get Yuffie from the forest next to a mountain and river after you get out of the Mythril Mines. Run around in the forest until you encounter an unknown ninja (Yuffie). Defeat her and you will be on a field talking to her. DO NOT use the save sphere, or she will run off with some of your money. Go up to her and answer as follows:
Not interested
Petrified
Wait a second!
That’s right
Lets hurry on
Answer them wrong and Yuffie will run away with some of your gil. Answer them correctly and Yuffie will join your posse.

Wutai Quest
Once you have Yuffie in your party, and also the Tiny Bronco or Highwind, go to the southern tip of
the western–most continent. Head north and you will see a cut scene with Yuffie, your other 2
party members and 2 Shinra soldiers. You engage in a battle with the Shinra soldiers but you will
notice that something is missing; all your Materia! Cloud will then realise that Yuffie’s plan
from the beginning was to get her hands on your Materia.
You are now back on the world map. Head north on this island until you get to a town named Wutai.
Enter here and you will see Yuffie, but she will run away immediately. Go to the left and enter the
bar and you will find The Turks. Have a chat with them and then leave. Go the northern part of Wutai
and into Godo’s house. You will find Godo in one of the rooms, sleeping. Talk to him several
times, and Yuffie will eventually reveal herself, but after a while will run away once again. You will
clearly see a secret passage in one of the rooms in this house, enter it and get the Hairpin for Red
XIII.
Proceed to the Materia shop (you can’t buy anything) and get the MP absorb Materia from the
chest. This will result in Yuffie revealing herself again in order to steal it from you. Now go back
to the first screen of Wutai and enter the house to the far right. Examine the dresser in the house
and Yuffie will pop out and run away. Now head to the bar but don’t enter, you will see the jar next
to it is moving. Your 2 party members will guard each exit and Cloud will go up to the jar. Press O to
hit it and then hit it a further 2 times, Yuffie will then pop out, but she can’t escape this time.
You will now end up in Yuffie’s house, and after a cut scene she tells you to pull a lever.
No matter which one you choose your other 2 party members will be trapped in a cage and Yuffie will
run off again. Pull the lever again to get your 2 party members back. Now, go to the area where Godo’s
house is located, but instead go left to the bell and ring it. A secret passage will open below which
you must now enter. You will see Yuffie, Elena and.... Don Corneo! After a cut scene, the Don runs off
with the 2 girls. Open the 2 chests and then follow him up the stairs, after a cut scene you will be
in battle with 2 Shinra soldiers. After you defeat them, head outside and follow The Turks. You will
be at a mountain, and you agree with The Turks to put aside your differences until the 2 girls are
safe. Go up the mounting until you see a cave with Rude inside. Open the chest to get the Dragoon
lance. Now go south down the mountain, and after a cut scene with the Don you will engage in a boss
fight.
Name: Rapps HP: 6000
Make sure you stocked up on healing items and go in with your limit breaks (because you can’t
summon or use magic) have your 2 strongest physical attackers and hit it with everything you’ve got,
healing when needed with items.
After a cut scene you get your Materia back and Yuffie is back in your party, she’s loyal this time.
The next part of this side quest is harder then the first, so make sure your characters, or more to
the point Yuffie, is pretty strong. Go to the big tower in Wutai and battle your way to the top. You
only fight with Yuffie so give her your best Materia, but make sure she still has a healthy amount of
HP after each battle. Here is what you’ll be up against:

Limit Break Guide
Limit level one
First limit: You start off with your level one limit break.
Second limit: Use your level one first limit 8 times.
Limit level two
First limit: Kill 80 enemies. The character has to be the one who gives the finishing blow. The enemies can be killed by any means (magic, summon, physical etc) however; Vincent only has to kill 60 enemies.
Second limit: Use your level two first limit 6 times.
Limit level three
First limit: See level two first limit.
Second limit: Use level three first limit 4 times.
Limit level four
Teach the character in question every limit break, 6 for everyone apart from Cait Sith, whom only has
two, and 3 for Vincent. You then have to use that characters level–4 limit manual. Here is a
guide on as to how you can get each characters manual:
Cloud Strife
Earn 32,000 battle points at the battle square, located in the Gold Saucer and trade them in for Cloud’s
level–4 limit manual.
Aerith Gainsborough
Before you enter the Temple of the Ancients, head to Costa Del Sol on the buggy and get on the boat to
Junon. Now that you’re on the other side with the buggy, you can cross the river to get to the
sleeping man. Talk to him and he will tell you how many battles you have had (if not, go outside and
battle some more) when he tells you how many battles you’ve had, go back outside and battle so
that last 2 digits are matching (e.g. 144, 255 etc) he will then give you the Mythril. Now, go to the
house on the peninsula near Gold Saucer, and give the man inside the Mythril and in return he will let
you open one of his two chests. Open the one on the stairs in order to attain Aerith’s level–4
limit manual.
Barret Wallace
You MUST stop the train from crashing into North Coral. Simply press X and down 3 times to stop the
train from crashing into North Coral. A woman in one of the tents will then give you Barrett’s
level–4 limit manual when you talk to her.
Tifa Lockheart
Go to Tifa’s house in Nibelheim and play her piano as follows:
Press X, square, triangle, L1+triangle, L1 +square, X, square, triangle, L1+ X, O, X, square, X.
This only works later on in the game.
Red XIII
See the Vincent Valentine Quest section.
Caith Sith
Cait Sith’s best limit is his limit level 2. To get this simply kill 80 enemies with Cait Sith.
Cid Highwind
Cid’s manual can be found in one of the chests in the sunken Gelnika Plane.
Yuffie Kisiragi
Look at the end of the Wutai Quest section.
Vincent Valentine
Once you have acquired a green, black or gold Chocobo (See Chocobo Breeding Quest)
or the Submarine, you will be able to enter Lucrecia’s Cave, which is behind a waterfall located
in a lagoon of the Nibel area. You must do this in Disc 2, and make sure that Vincent is in your
party. A mysterious woman named Lucrecia will appear. She will tell you the many mysteries of
Vincent’s past; how he got locked in a coffin of the Shinra Mansion basement, his relationship
with Lucracia, the reason behind his and Hojo’s great conflict with one another and more.
After these events, leave the cave and come back in disc 3. You will find Vincent’s ultimate
weapon, the Death Penalty, and this automatically gives Vincent his level–4 limit manual.
Special Cinematic
After Cloud has figured out his past with the help of Tifa, if you visit the basement of the Shina
Mansion once again, located in Nibelheim, you’ll see a previously inaccessible cinema concerning
how Cloud became a mercenary, and what exactly happened to the very mysterious Zack...

The Key to Midgar
It is thought that the only two times you can actually enter Midgar are once you begin the game and
the raid on Midgar. However, this is not the case, as there is actually a key to Midgar, which you
need in order to get some pretty good items.
Go back to the Number 7 gate and you will find a man wandering about. Talk to him and he will inform
you that he has lost the key to the gate. The only clue you get from him is that he may have dropped it
in an excavation site. What excavation sites do we know of? There’s only one, and that’s Bone
Village, so that will be your next destination.
Once there, talk to the digger guy and tell him you are digging for “normal treasure”,
then set the diggers on the top level of Bone Village and set off the blast. The diggers should point
to the location of the “Key to sector 5”, and once they do, have them dig there. Now you
can enter Midgar whenever you please.
Now, it’s off to Midgar again. The two main items you can acquire here are the “Sneak Glove”
and Tifa’s ultimate weapon: Premium Heart. You can acquire the Sneak Glove from the Weapons shop
in Wall Market, but the price is a very large 120, 000 gil. However, I do advise you to purchase this
rare item. Tifa’s Premium Heart can be found in the abandoned item shop in Wall Market, which is
now accessible due to that annoying Machine Gun being turned off. The last visit you may want to make
before leaving Midgar is the Church, where you will see a very short scene with Aerith.

Lucrecia’s Grave
After you have acquired the Submarine or a green, black or gold Chocobo, you can access Lucrecia’s
cave. To get there via Chocobo, you can simply walk over a mountain in the Nibel area to access the
Waterfall. If you’re trying to access the area via the Submarine, you must come through the underwater
cave just east of the lagoon.
You must visit this area on Disc 2 with Vincent in your party and when Cloud has figured out his
past with the help of Tifa. You will find out a lot about Vincent’s past; how he came to be who
he is, his past with Shinra, how he was locked in the Shinra Mansion’s basement and much more.
Revisit the cave on Disc 3, again with Vincent in your party, to find his Ultimate Weapon: Death
Penalty, which also comes with his 4th level limit break: Chaos.

Crashed Gelnika
The Crashed Gelnika is directly West of the Underwater Make Reactor. It was designed with items,
weaponry, armoury and Materia to destroy Sephiroth. However, the Gelnika unfortunately crashed, but
the great gear there is now left for your taking, so you might as well make your way there once you
have the Submarine. However, be warned that the Emerald weapon may be guarding it, so simply come back
later with the hope that it has moved.
The Gelinka is filled with creatures that will give you a run for your money in a battle, so make
sure you are well equipped for a good fight. Once you are in the Gelnika, open the chest in front of
you to acquire Heaven’s Cloud. After doing so, enter the room on your right. You will find the
Escort Guard and a Megalixer on the top floor, while you will find Yuffie’s ultimate weapon:
Conformer and the Double Cut Materia on the bottom floor.
In the next area, you may encounter Reno and Rude. If you entered the Gelnika on Disc 3, they won’t
be there. If you enter any other time, they will, and a fight with the two will ensue. However, the two
are nothing special, and you should be able to defeat them in sufficient time.
Once defeated, enter the room in front of you. You will find the Outsider, Hades Summon Materia and
Cid’s 4th level limit manual on the bottom floor, while you will find another Megalixer and the
Spirit Lance on the top floor. There isn’t anything left on the Gelnika, so you might as well
leave, but keep in mind that this place is always a great place for your characters to level up.
Turtle Paradise Flyers
The Turtle Paradise, located in Wutai, has started a special competition concerning
whom can find each of the six flyers they have scattered throughout the planet. Here are
the locations of each:
Flyer 1
Located in the Sector 5 Slums of Midgar. Go to the building on the east side of the Slums
and you’ll and you will find a boy’s room where you will be able to rest. The flyer
is stuck to the wall in the boy’s room.
Flyer 2
Located in the Shinra HQ of Midgar. You will find the flyer on the Bulletin board on the
first floor, but you must do so in one of your two visits to the HQ.
Flyer 3
Located in the Ghost Hotel of the Gold Saucer. You will find the flyer in the main lobby.
Flyer 4
Located in the Tiger Lilly Arms Shop of Cosmo Canyon. The flyer is on the weapon
seller’s right.
Flyer 5
Located in the Inn of Cosmo Canyon. The flyer is on the inn–keepers right.
Flyer 6
Located in Yuffie’s basement of Wutai. You will find the flyer just outside of the
trap–room.
Once you have collected all 6 of the Turtle Paradise Flyers, go back to Turtle Paradise
and talk to the owner. For collecting all 6, he will give you a Power Source,
Guard Source, Magic Source, Mind Source, Speed Source, Luck Source, and a Megalixer.
Tropical Getaway
If you go to the Tropical Getaway, located in Costa Del Sol, you will find an estate
agent, resting on the bed, trying to sell the place for a huge 300, 000 Gil. This is
indeed pricey, and just for a place to rest whenever you want doesn’t seem to quite
fit the price of the place, but you might as well buy it if you have the money to do so.
As said previously, you will be able to rest whenever you want, without spending a single
penny, and you will also find a few items in the basement, but they were accessibly
prior to your buying the Tropical Getaway. If you are a little short on money but are
wanting to buy this place, simply sell a Mastered All Materia to get more than enough
money, and this place is yours.
Da–Chao Fire Cave
The Da Chao cliffs, located in Wutai, has a small cave you can enter. However, the
treasure of the cave is blocked off my intense flames, making it inaccessible unless the
flames are put out. The only ways to do this is to obtain an item called
“Leviathan Scales”, which can be found on the docks within the Underwater
Reactor. The Leviathan Scales can put out any fire, no matter how intense it may be, so
make your way bace to the Da Chao Cliffs once you have obtained this Key Item. Use the
Leviathan Scales to put out the fire, and you will be able to access the two treasure
chests containing the “Oritsure” Weapon for Yuffie and the “Steal As
Well” Materia.
