[Spirit’s View by Gary England]

I stand on a balcony,
Watching the wind blow the curtains behind me,
Swaying the palm trees that stand out ahead.
The sun’s glare warms the sand below,
And reflects itself on the ocean's surface.
A night breeze passes by, and chills the concrete underneath me.
Oh, how beautiful nature works.
Yet it still neglects to fix one aspect, that is,
To let all feel its changes.

I stand here, on this balcony,
Trapped in a segment of time.
It was here where I last felt;
Where Odin pierced his very blade through my soul.

Alas, I only live in a dream.
A world that repeats those last moments
To create a nightmare for eternity.
This dream world is my home,
And I shall forever stand here, seeing,
In a spirit’s view...
