You leave me in waking moments
A lover, your work is done
A warm embrace throughout the night
But come the daylight, none

Regale me with your stories,
Tell me your sweet lies
Inspire me to greater things
Before I open my eyes

Share with me your splendor
And reveal to me your treasures
Sate my deepest wants and needs
And immerse me in great pleasures

As rays of sunlight signal day
Once again you drift away
Fading from my touch and sight
We will meet again tonight
